In 2010 the museum embarked on its first outreach projects, involving volunteers with the museum's activities for the first time. These projects resulted in a series of community curated exhibitions. Volunteer researchers helped the museum to explore subjects which had not previously received much attention. The projects culminated in an exhibition, displayed in a free venue around the Tower of London, and a celebration event which shared these unknown Fusilier stories with a much wider audience. With the focus upon the centenary of the First World War the museum's most recent exhibitions have concentrated on sharing the stories of individuals through topics as diverse as entertainment to amputation. These exhibitions are now available to view online on our Past Exhibitions page.
We are currently focusing on a collection based project but do check our Volunteer Page for new up and coming opportunities.
