Description
Silver mobile war memorial commemorating those officers of the 7th Royal Fusiliers who were killed in the Peninsular Campaign 1809-1814. Lieutenant Colonel Sir William Myers Bt. was by far the most distinguished officer in the Regiment at the time. He died, age 27, at the head of the Fusilier Brigade at the Battle of Albuhera 16th May 1811. A miniature portrait of Lt.Col.Myers is mounted in the centre of the large silver frame.
