Terms and conditions for the use of the Fusilier Museum's collection


The Fusilier Museum London is committed to respecting copyright and other intellectual property rights. We make every effort to protect the Fusilier Museum’s copyright and Crown copyright. We also take all reasonable efforts to trace the copyright owners of images and obtain permissions for reproductions on this website, so that we can fully use and promote our assets as well as safeguard and provide access to our collection items.

All material, including images and text, identified as the Fusilier Museum London copyright and copyright of other copyright owners including the Crown may be reproduced free of charge for a number of “fair dealing” exceptions to copyright as outlined within the UK’s Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, as amended and revised. These include:

Some material on the website may be made available to use or re-use more fully under OGL or CC BY NC licences:

If you would like to re-use an image for any other purpose, or need a higher-resolution image file, please see information on photography and filming.

Any trade mark, logo, crest or other identifiable emblem of the Fusilier Museum London shall remain the property of The Fusilier Museum London at all times and no licence or right to use any of the same shall be granted or implied in any way. Please contact rrfmuseumlondon@thefusiliers.org for a discussion about any possible use of the museum logo.

Similarly the Fusilier Museum London does not granted the right to use or re-use logos of other organisations found in the correspondence of its collection.

While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information and copyright of material on this website, any and all liability which might arise from your use of and reliance on the information contained on this website is excluded.

Although all reasonable efforts have been made to ensure that material that infringes the law will not be present on the Fusilier Museum London’s website or any publication or broadcast to which the Fusilier Museum London has supplied material from its collections, the risk cannot be entirely eliminated. A variety of measures are taken to minimise and manage risk including the publication and implementation of this 'notice and takedown' policy and procedures.
