Photography and Filming

Image licensing and filming at the museum

Photography:
The museum is in the process of digitising material from its collection. Currently we are able to provide copies of some of the photographs, archives, works of art, badges, uniforms and equipment in the Collection. Low resolution images can be saved from the website. Higher resolution digital images are available for purchase. Images can also be licensed for reproduction.

Some images can be viewed using the Online Collection.

Filming:
Filming inside the museum for commercial purposes is possible with permission from the museum. Filming in the grounds of the Tower of London (outside the museum) must be negotiated and approved by Historic Royal Palaces. All filming requests need to give clear deadlines, and details on how they will be mentioning the museum in the footage or programme.

All filming is subject to negotiated terms and conditions as outlined by the museum, depending on relevance to the Museum we reserve the right to apply an additional charge. The Museum opening hours are 10.00–16.00, it is possible to arrange filming outside this time but this may incur additional staffing charges.
